Who we are?
Pocket of Fools delivers high-quality, entertaining, creative, and imaginative theatre directly to your school.
Based in Staffordshire and combining fresh ideas with extensive professional experience, Pocket of Fools is a recently formed theatre company. The team behind it brings many years of experience, creating and performing theatre across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia. Having worked in theatres, schools, community groups, having engaged audiences of all ages through innovative, inspiring, and memorable productions.
Pocket of Fools is dedicated to bringing exciting theatre experiences that spark imagination, encourage participation, and create lasting memories.
Who's it For?
Our productions are designed to support students at every stage of their learning journey, from Year 9 students encountering a text for the first time to Year 11 students preparing for their GCSE examinations.
- Year 9–11 English students studying set texts and developing their understanding of themes, characters, and context.
- GCSE and BTEC Drama students exploring performance, interpretation, and theatrical techniques.
- Students studying or interested in Shakespeare, providing an engaging and accessible way to experience his work.
- Teachers and educators seeking a fresh, approach to theatre, literature, and drama education.
- Suitable for all abilities and experience levels.
What we offer?
All of our shows are 1 hour long.
Following each performance, we offer an in-depth, focused 20-minute Q&A session covering key topics such as context, themes, characters, plot, language, and artistic choices.
With a strong understanding of the types of questions that appear in GCSE examinations, we tailor our Q&A sessions to support students in developing the knowledge needed for exam success.
